G-1 The Plague got a 1st inning lead off walk & turned it into a run on a Brantley SF. The Plague added 2 more in the 3rd on RBI hits from Cain & Brantley. Birds got a 2-run homer from N. Cruz in the 4th & a 3-run homer from Cruz in the 5th (#7) to build a 6-3 lead. Prado homered in the 6th to extend the lead to 7-3. The Plague then scored 5 in the 6th, capped by a bases-clearing double by Span to take an 8-7 lead & end the scoring.
G-2 Birds built an early 3-1 lead after 2. The Plague used a 2-run homer by Lawrie to tie at 3. Birds regained the lead on Lagares’ 5th-inning double. Goldschmidt led off the 6th with a solo for a 4-4 tie. The Plague then got a 2-out 8th inning pinch single from Rivera for a 5-4 win.
G-3 M. Cabrera hit a 2-run homer (#7) to give the Birds the early lead. The Plague battled back, getting RBI doubles from LeMahieu & Moustakas for 5-3 lead. C. Headley hit his 2nd homer of the game to ignite a 5-run 7th, capped by 6 straight singles for an 8-5 lead. After a bases loaded walk in the 8th, the Birds held on for an 8-6 win.
