As the Birds prepared for a road trip to the Tsunamis, they also announced that Billy Ripken was named interim hitting coach.

G-3 E. Aybar homered to open the first and V. Worley went 8 IP, 8 hits 3 BBs & 8 Ks to lead the Birds to a 4-1 win and series sweep. The Tsunamis scored in the 8th on a 2-out Rollins single.
