The Browns and Lemonheads met tonight to kickoff the 2nd period. Here’s what happened:

The Sharts mounted their charge too late with an Espinosa solo shot in the 8th which cut the lead to 3-1. With one out in the 9th Harper singled and Seager walked to chase Greinke. Harper came into score on a throwing error by Javier Lopez who settled down to earn the save.
Game 2 Matched Big Game James against Frankie Liriano and once again the starters were on their games. The Browns broke a scoreless tie with a Seager RBI single in the bottom of the 6th just to see the Lemonheads tie it up in the top of the 7th. The Sharts put it out of reach with a 4 run bottom of the 7th including solo shots from Espinosa and Joseph and a 2 run Seager double. Tony Watson worked 2 1/3 to earn the win for the Browns in relief of Shields.
Game 3 was Strasburg vs Iwakuma. The Lemonheads jumped out to a lead via the long ball off Strasburg. In the 2nd, 3rd and 4th they got solos from Gallo and Martiniz and a 2 run shot from Peralta to lead 4-0. Then the Browns’ bats woke up as they plated 1 in the 5th, 4 in the 6th and 3 in the 7th including 3 doubles and 2 homers. Strasburg earned the win to help the Browns improve to 19-20.
*Bruce Hairpin went just 2-10 but scored 4 runs and smacked his team leading 10th homer.
*Espinosa continues to see the ball well since joining the Browns. He was 3-9 with 2 homers and a double in the series and is hitting .393-3-6 in 10 games with the Sharts.
*The Browns suped up D did it again with just 1 error in the series. Kendrys Morales’ glove has been sacrificed to the fielding gods.
