2019 Third Period

Juggs win 2 of 3 in wild series . And I do mean wild . The series had a combined 28 walks and 6 HBP . ( Juggs walks 15 HBP 2 ) ( Speakers walks 13 HBP 4) Game 1 . Stripling throws a complete game win 7-3 . 8 hits 2ER 1BB 7K 1HR.  Top of second machado in the 5 hole lead off double, posey single, machado to 3rd . Soto hits into a double play but Machado will score from 3rd . 1-0 speakers. Top of 3rd Merrifield one out single, Rendon pop to 3rd second out . Betts single , Bryant 14 turned to 2 balls , Juggs think about IBB for +13 Bryant vs lefty starter Gonzales. But Juggs go for the out . PLUNK Bryant HBP fills bases with two outs . Machado gets an rbi walk when +35 Gonzales can’t stop it . Posey then rolls a 66 =0 second column 1 , Gonzales +21 no luck Posey Grand Slam. Soto makes 3rd out . Speakers up 6-0 . Gonzales down graded 5 points . Base of 6 . Top of 7th Gonzales still in going for possible upgrade from base 6 in third inning. Is a base 5 because of fatigue. Rendon lead of single, Betts +5 rolls 12 = single (8),Bryant +13 rolls 65 = single (11) and scores Rendon . Speakers up 7-0 .bottom of 7th Juggs get a two run homer from Hicks. 7-2 speakers. Top 8th Gonzales still in . Runners 1st and 3rd no outs Merrifield DP runner holds . Rendon pop 3rd end inning. Bottom 8th Molina lead off double, Villar PR , Smith 4-3 moves Villar to 3rd . Peralta Rbi single. Votto 9 converts to 26 , Fielding one HO Slow Batter becomes Double play . Speakers up 7-3 . Top of 9th Gonzales trying to take one for the team . Base grade 1. Betts walk , Bryant single , Machado HBP loads bases no outs . Gonzales finally pulled . Bradley in relief gets posey pop second, Soto K, Baez k . Speakers win 7-3 with 15 hits one error. Juggs had 8 hits no errors. Machado was 2/3 with a double an rbi a walk 2 runs and HBP . Soto was 0-5 with 3k and a DP for Speakers. Game 2 : Sabathia gets start for Juggs . Carlos Martinez for Speakers. Top second posey lead off single, Bellinger DP, Baez single steals second, Haniger fly ball to Peralta miss reads it for a two base error scoring Baez . Speakers 1-0. Bottom second, Muncy lead off walk ( Martinez is a -25 control) Winker walk , Hicks pop catcher, Gennett rbi single, Dejong DP tied 1-1 . Top 3rd rendon lead of single Betts walk , Bryant DP Rendon to 3rd, machado 6-3 3rd out . Bottom of 3rd Molina lead of K , Smith single steals second, Peralta second column 4 triple rbi, Votto second column 6 double rbi, Muncy single, Winker rbi single, Hicks single column 5 runners 1st and 2nd = triple two RBI, Gennett K , Dejong walk ,Molina 9 but five run down grade will allow Martinez to make it an out . Juggs up 6-1 . Bottom of 4th Martinez still in , smith lead of walk steals second, Peralta walk , Votto walk, Muncy sac fly to RF , Winker walk , Hicks sac fly to LF, Gennett K , Juggs up 8-1 . Top 5th Merrifield lead of single, Rendon HBP, Betts 1-3 moves runner to second, Bryant IBB fills bases . Machado BB rbi, posey K, Bellinger flyout. Juggs up 8-2 . Top 6th Baez lead off single, Haniger HR single Baez to 3rd . Sabathia pulled . Hirano in , Merrifield sac fly to RF scores Baez , Rendon k , Betts HBP , Buchter in to face PH Rizzo , Rizzo -9 pulled for Simmons who pops to 3rd . Juggs up 8-3 . Top 7th Oh in for Juggs , posey walks and scores that inning. Juggs up 8-4 , bottom 7th Juggs get insurance run Because of a two out error from posey eventually leads to an rbi single from smith, Juggs up 9-4 and they need it as the speakers score 4 runs in the top of 9th Baez rbi double and Rendon two out 3 run homer . Juggs win 9-8 Sabathia manages to get the win . Juggs 9 hits 11walks 2 errors, Speakers 11 hits 8 walks 2 HBP one error . Game 3 : Juggs throw another lefty Woods 6ip 6 hits 1ER 3BB 7K for the win 9-3 , Carasco goes 3 innings in relief for a save . Juggs smack around Speakers starter Mikolas for 11 hits 6 ER 1 HR and 3BB over 6.2 IP. Trevino in relief for Speakers goes 1.1 innings gives up solo shots to Votto, Muncy and Hicks in bottom of 8th . Votto gets on base every plate appearance. Single run scored, walk, walk RS, Single, Homerun. Gennett was 3/5 and is on a 9 game hitting streak. Dejong got HBP twice by Mikolas. Juggs had two sac again by Muncy and Hicks , Juggs 15 hits one error, Speakers 7 hits no errors. Soto came back to play game 3 after being benched in game 2 and went 3/4 with two doubles and a homer . Juggs are now 34-23 play Steve Monday night .

The Plague Scrubbed by Juggs

Juggs open second half of season as away team vs plague . I must say this was one of my best rolled series of the season, the dice were hot . Game 1: chacin for Juggs . Gibson for plague. Bottom of first plague strike first Brantley one out walk , bregman walk Lindor infield single loads bases . Goldschmidt sac fly to center gives plague 1-0 lead . Top 2nd lead off Muncy gets to first on Lindor error, Winker K, Hicks walk, Gennett single loads bases but Dejong hits into a DP to end inning. Top of 3rd Juggs get another chance. Smith on first with one out error wendle, Peralta hit and run rolls 66=1 but No homer by hit and run change, double runner scores. Votto grounder to pitcher moves Peralta to 3rd . Muncy two out single scores Peralta. Winker walk , Hicks 5 with runners on 1st and 2nd should be a triple , but 11 graded Gibson makes it a 7 single scores Muncy. Gennett singles scores Hicks, Dejong 42 HBP loads bases , Molina flyout to Center 8 taken away . Juggs up 4-1 no earned runs . Bottom of 3rd Brantley one out single, Bregman double, runners 2nd and 3rd one out , Lindor fc to second scores Brantley, bregman to 3rd , Goldschmidt flyout ends inning. Juggs up 4-2 top 5th Hicks two out walk , Gennett rbi double. Juggs up 5-2 . Chacin starts bottom of 9th but give up lead off single to Lindor , then Goldschmidt 2 run dinger Juggs up 5-4 no outs . Hirano in to Save game gets Kepler , single to kiermier, PH Cain pop out 3rd , wendle pop out to catcher ends game Juggs win 5-4 . Chacin win 8 IP 5 hits 4 ER 1 HR 3 BB 4 SO , Hirano save . Game 2: plague scatter 7 hits 6 extra bases, 4 doubles , 1 triple and 1 free homer homer given up by minor (-16). Juggs have 6 hits but managed to win 6-3 . Top of 4th Muncy one out double, Hicks two out single scores him . Juggs up 1-0 . Top of 5th Molina on first Lindor error with one out , Smith k, Peralta walk , Votto two out two rbi double, Muncy walk , Winker 5-3 ends inning. Juggs up 3-0. Top of 6th Hicks walk , Gennett HR turned back to double, runners 2nd and 3rd no outs , Dejong single scores Hicks , Molina homer but this one also turned back by Severino, Double two rbi , Smith up Starter severino pulled. Carle in , Smith fc 6-3 moves Molina to 3rd one out , Peralta walk, Votto and Muncy both get out to end inning. Juggs up 6-0. Bottom of 6th , Cain k, Lemahieu single, Bregman 2run homer, Lindor single, Goldschmidt on by FC two outs , Kepler (4) triple scores Goldschmidt, wendle flyout ends inning. Juggs up 6-3 . Minor is finally pulled in bottom of 7th after he gives up a two out double to Cain. Oh in for 1.2 innings. Bradley in bottom of 9th to get a save and secure Minor win . Juggs win 6-3 . Game 3 : Gonzales for Juggs . L Castillo for plague. Top of first Peralta one out single, Votto double becomes gifted two run homer,Muncy walk , Winker Hicks get out end inning.juggs up 2-0. Top of 3rd , smith lead off triple, Peralta rbi single, Votto out, Muncy two run homer, Winker walk , Hicks out #2, Gennett single, Dejong out #3. Juggs up 5-0. Bottom of third plague has runners on 1st and 3rd one out , but Bregman hits into a DP. Top of 4th , smith one out walk,steals second, Peralta k, Votto another 2 run homer, Juggs up 7-0 . Castillo was pulled for other Castillo against Peralta. Bottom of 6th Goldschmidt homer turned back to one out double, Moustakas PH two out double scores him . Juggs up 7-1 . Top of 7th Votto lead off double, Muncy single, Winker fc rbi. Juggs up 8-1. Bottom of 9th Bradley gives up two out solo shot to Cain. But Juggs win 8-2 for a sweep. Juggs had 11 hits , Plague had 10 hits , plague had a base runner in every inning and at least one hit in 8 of 9 innings. Juggs now 30-21 . Juggs had 16 walks in series.

Bees Bring Brooms

Game 1: Newcomb vs Snell; Bees score solo HR by Laureano in 1st, 3 runs in 3rd, Speakers er 3 run HR by Haniger in 4th, Bess get unearned run in bottom of 4th, Speakers get 1 run in 8th, and Bees hold on to win 5-4

Game 2: Lopez vs Clevinger; Clevinger pitches complete game shut out and Bees hit 3 HR in 6th and another HR in 8th as Bees win 5-0

Game 3; Price vs Hendricks; Speakers get single runs in 4th, 5th and 6th Bees get 2 runs in 2nd, 3 runs in 3rd, 2 runs in 6th and 2 runs in 8th as Bees win 9-3 and sweep 3 game series go finish first half at 27-21

Unhinged Wahoos at Lymebees

Game 1; Verlander vs Snell; Bees get 2 run HR by Upton in 1st, Wahoos get 1 run off Snell in 3rd and Snell leaves in 6th with two runners on and Kimbrel comes in gets the first batter out and Arenado hits 3 run HR and Wahoos win 4-2

Game 2: Kluber vs Ray; Bees score 1 run in 1st, Wahoos tie game in 6th on a Marte HR, Bees score 2 runs in 7th and Bees win 3-1

Game 3: Cole vs Bumgarner; Bees score 2 runs in 1st on Yelich’s only hit of the series a double and Wahoo’s get 1 run in 4th and Bees hold on to win 2-1

Shooting Stars II at Lymebees

Game 1; Degrom vs Freeland; Degrom pitches complete game and gives up 3 runs, Freeland gives up 1 single in top of 8th and Moronta comes in to finish as Bees win 3-0

Game 2; Kershaw vs Snell; Bees score 2 in 1st amd 5 in 2nd, Stars get there only run on a 2 ru HR by Suares in 4th as Bees win 8-21

Game 3; Morton vs Ray; Stars score 1 run in 1st. 1 run in 3rd, 3 runs in 5th and 1 ruin in 8th, Bees score 1 run in 4th, 1 run in 8th, Stars use 5 relief pitcher and Bees use 3 and Stars win 6-2

Juggs travelled to Bees for a crazy series. Juggs luckily win 2 of 3 in series. Bees are first team this season to throw 3 lefties in a series against Juggs. Game 1 : Wood for Juggs . Wild man Ray for Bees. Top first Juggs strand runners on first and second with one out . Bottom of first Molina error allows Laureano on first with one out , but he goes nowhere. Top second Juggs strand runners on first and second again with two outs . Bottom of 2nd Molina makes his second error of game so lead off runner Cano can get to first with two outs Olson infield single gets cano to second then Contreras grounds out to End inning. Top of 3rd Voit left stranded on first with a one out single. Bottom 3rd Yelich two out single gets Braun to 3rd but Cano flyout ends inning. Bottom of 4th Bees score first off Juggs third error of game . Cron two base error to mondesi with one out . Contreras will single him home with two outs . Bees up 1-0 . Top 5th Juggs strike back . Smith one out single. Steals second, Iglesias rbi single. Two outs Votto will Ph for Cron to face kimbrel who replaces starter Ray . (Ray only walked two batters in 4.2 ip with his -46 control) boom Votto smacks one over the RF wall scoring Iglesias also. Juggs up 3-1 . Bottom of 6th Bees get two out rally mondesi doubles off wood Olson then walks and wood is done . Hirano in and Contreras is pulled for PH zunino. Hirano first pitch is wild putting runners on 2nd and 3rd two outs . But he settles in to k Zunino for out 3 ending rally attempt . Juggs go on to win 3-1 wood win Oh save . Both teams finish with 6 hits but Juggs have 3 errors Bees none . Note Villar steals second in top of 9th for his 23 SB of season. Game 2 : a pair of lefties again. Gonzales for Juggs Bumgarner for Bees .juggs jump out in front quickly,smith lead off double, Iglesias ground out smith stays at second, but next batter Bumgarner WP smith to 3rd , Voit then singles home smith, Cron po to catcher 2 outs , judge walk , springer single scores Voit from second Donaldson single scores judge from second, Gennett flyout Center ends inning. Juggs up 3-0 . Bottom of first Pham lead of single, Chapman one out double gets Pham to 3rd . Yelich rbi grounder moves runners one base . Juggs up 3-1 . Bottom of second Bees strike again,Braun lead off single, Contreras two out walk , Pham rbi single scores Braun, laureano two out double scores Contreras and Pham . Bees up 4-3 . Top 3rd Voit lead off single, Cron two run blast . Juggs up 5-4 . Bottom of 5th Pham lead off walk , laureano single . Gonzales done 4 ip 5 Er . Chavez in gets first two batters, then Hernandez PH single scores Pham , game tied 5-5 . Chavez will stay to finish game and get the loss . Gives up a solo homer to mondesi in 6th and solo shot to Puig in 8th . Juggs lose 7-5 . In top of 6th Leclerc Came in and shutdown Juggs for 2.2 innings but in top of 8th with two outs Votto single, Villar PR judge single Villar to second. Leclerc pulled for McFarland runners on first and second two outs . But Juggs have a plan . So when Peralta came in to Ph for springer to face Leclerc, that’s when McFarland came in , so McFarland is a 30 against Peralta. He loses everything even 0 to a 7 . So Villar steals 3rd . Runners on 1st and 3rd but that board is almost as bad for Peralta as 1st and 2nd . So Villar attempts a steal of home to tie game . Villar caught, for only third time on season second time trying for home . He is 1 of 3 for steals of home . Juggs lose game two  7-5 no errors that game Juggs 8 hits Bees 9 hits . Game 3: Carasco for Juggs Freeland for Bees . Bottom of second with one out Iglesias error puts on Puig then Cron error puts on Olson, but they are left stranded. No score till top of 6th Gennett lead off walk , Villar PR Molina hit and run 14 result, Villar steals second for his 25th SB . Molina single sends Villar to 3rd . Grichuk PR for Molina,no outs , Smith rbi single scores Villar. Iglesias fc out advance runners to 2nd and 3rd one out . Voit sac fly out of an 8 converted to 32 . Cron k ends inning. Juggs up 2-0 . Bottom of 6th Andujar one out double left stranded. Bottom of 7th carasco starts  Inning gets Zunino to k , but Torres single, Chapman flyout Center out number 2 , then upton steps into a pitch Hit batter . Carasco pulled . Hirano in . Hernandez up , bink, another batter HBP fills bases with two outs .then Yelich walks an RBI in, andujar single scores upton but thank goodness Hernandez is thrown out at home plate by judge . Game tied 2-2 .top of 8th Villar up stayed in game at second base, Freeland fatigue factor so Bees go to bullpen, Moranto face Villar, Villar 66=1  +34 can’t stop it Homer . Juggs up 3-2 . Top of 9th Voit leads off gets on base by Hernandez error, Peralta PR , Votto gets on torres error. Peralta on third . No outs . Donaldson hits into a double play but Peralta scores . Juggs win game 4-2 . Hirano win Oh second save of series. Juggs 5 hits 2 errors. Bees 5 hits 2 errors. Juggs finish first half at 27-21 , Manager Tim very happy with his teams play.  We really didn’t think we would be in this position at the midway point of season. We have some tough decisions to make for second half . We will definitely need some relief if we are going to make a run for playoffs. And we do have a lot of talent at SS available for trading. But we won’t give away the farm to get it . So we are open to reasonable trade offers , for any player.
